Suitabilty
Elliot House was opened in 1984 and provides ideal accommodation for people who wish to live independently
but want the benefits of living within a community that provides daily support if required.
Elliot House is suitable for people with a reasonable
amount of mobility (with or without walking frames) and is all on ground floor level. We have nine rooms, each with their
own en-suite bathroom, and all enjoying a view of either the grounds or overlooking the village.
There is
a live-in housekeeper who is available from morning until early afternoon. Residents can take care of their own breakfast
and tea (food provided by Abbeyfield) and the housekeeper takes care of the main meal at lunch time. This is served in the
main dining room and is a great opportunity for everybody to meet and chat.
Entertainment is also provided in the main lounge which is
organised by our enthusiastic volunteers. This is not only for the benefit of the residents but also their friends and family
to join in with too.
